Do you need Segway replacement batteries? Segway is using two types of batteries: Nickel metal hydride (NiMH)used in "p" "i" and "e" models, or Lithium ion (Li-ion) Battery Pack used in "i" and "e" models. To maximize segway battery life and performance, follow the charging procedure explained in your Segway Manual.
Whenever you need segway battery replacement, consider replacing both batteries, and always use pairs of battery packs with the same chemistry (NiMH or Li-ion). Replacing only one battery will not necessarily increase the performance or range of your Segway scooter, because it's is designed to operate only at the level allowed by the lower-energy battery pack. Therefore, you should replace segway batteries in pairs.

An Important Announcement To Our Customers: Battery Boosting
Dear Customers, Segway Inc. has become aware of several companies offering charging and rebuilding services for Segway Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH)
The Segway scooter is powered by battery, a Saphion Lithium package which is developed by Valance Technology. It is built for industrial purposes. The battery requires very little maintenance and it is much safer than a typical battery systems.
It is an electric vehicle as already familiar for Segway owners, includes a lithium Ion Battery providing a 35 mile trip on one charge and balances on two wheels as the fun scooters revolutionized previously.
Cool Rider Cooler Than Segway?
The Cool Rider certainly doesn't look anything like a Segway, but it probably would fall into the personal transportable category of vehicles. Armed with a battery powered motor capable of hitting 12mph, the Cool Rider isn't too much
