City segway tours

Why does the River Walk in San Antonio suck so much?
This is mainly a question for locals such as myself.
There's nothing to do there. If you've experienced the RW once, you've done it a million times. All the restaurants are almost exactly alike and for the most part, in my opinion, only half decent. Every shop on the RW (and almost all of downtown SA for that matter) is a Mexican heritage/cultural museum or gift shop. The clubs are "ehh," none of which compare to any in any other large city (sad since SA is the 7th largest city in the U.S.). Does anyone agree? Or does anyone have a suggestion for fun on the RW? And please don't say the 3 mph river-boat ride or the segway tours.
For the record I don't hate San Antonio, there's some chill little spots around town. But considering that the RW is such a significant and very large landmark, why does it have to be so lame?
Well, the short answer might be that the Riverwalk is more geared to tourists rather than locals.
However, there are locals who like going down there once in awhile, just to eat, peoplewatch or see what's changed. I've been going down there every other year or so most of my life, and it's nothing like it used to be, that's for sure.
If you think it's lame, don't go back down there. That will, at least, lighten up the crowd a bit.
