I just bought a segway...help pleeze!?

Hi I am a 22 year old boy from NY. I just bought a really cool thing to ride in place of a car, it is called a segway. I don't need a drivers lisenze or ever have to pay for gas!!!!!!!!! I used to drive my dad's enviromental car and now I decided to go car free and save the enviroment. I am a vegetarian and an enviromnentalist and pro-life, and animal friendly, Earth liberation, democrat, etc. I do not want to be like the rest of the world and drive, rather move myself around by segway/scooter or bicycle.
1. How many miles can it go up to b4 i have to rechoge batery?
2. I am going 2 use it for travel + going to skool (colege) which is 12.5 miles each way (there and back), should i hav enough power?
3. What do i do if i run out of power in route back home? do i have to whell it back home.?

What are the Chicago equivalents of New York hotspots?

Now I know that the two cities are very different. Last summer we took a trip to NYC, and I had already known what everything "is" there. (as far as places to visit go)
So, my question is...
what would compare to a big shopping location such as Fifth Avenue?
Is there a "center of life" like Times Square?
Something historically important like Ground Zero?
A must see park like Central Park?

Chicago has many of the same features you mentioned about NYC. "Chi-Town" pronounced "Shy-Town" is more centralized, and not so spread out. Chicago has:
Theater
Great Public Transportation, easy to navigate, with taxis, the "EL" the Chicago train and more.
Excellent beaches
The Magnificent Mile is great for shopping
The general downtown area especially on the Magnificent Mile is where you'll find many of the 'main' things to do in Chicago, either there or not far away.
Navy Pier is a must see for shops food, boat tours, and more
Chicago food is outstanding, and most restaurants have options for us health conscious foodies
Plus you can see Broadway in Chicago

job in sales- a bad start?

so i am a recent University of Virginia graduate with a bachelors degree in English Language and Literature. After not being able to find employer sponsorship, I finally landed a gig in sales/marketing at a luxury car service. now, this is farrr from my dream job and is a far cry from what i want to do as a career ( i want to work in NGO as a women/human rights advocate, among other things) . i am so scared i will be stuck in a job i don't want to do for a really long time. how can i possibly turn this experience into a positive career move and segway into what i do wanna do?

Congrats on obtaining ur degree. Firstly, am not goin to assume that ur not grateful.. but i will remind u of how fortunate u r to be in a job whilst others are unemployed.. despite it not being ur "dream job". However if ur in sales.. one of the key things expected of u is to promote and sell.. perhaps if u excel at this, ur ability and efficiency will be advantageous should you eventually land in ur dream job, as u would have improved and increased that skill of persuasion etc.. also, while ur IN A JOB.. u can still apply for other jobs and see which works out. but i think u shud stay a while in ur current job, everything will work out for the best.

Segway, the two wheeler personal transporter, kills its owner. 62-year-old Jimi Heselden fell off a cliff while riding on a Segway in England. He died on the scene in Riiver Wharfe as reported by a witness. The killer Segway was later discovered not too far from the body.

I need some fun ideas for short-distance wedding transportation!?

My fiancee and I are getting married next June. The reception is being held about 300 feet from the chapel. We're expecting all of the guests to walk, but she doesn't really want to hitch up her wedding dress and walk the 300 feet, and it's too short for something like a car or carriage or hansome cab.

Check out golf carts. They would be so cute and funny decorated up with cans and a just married sign. Oh, and pretty cheap to rent.
